Ranking KINGDOM’s Live Stage Outfits for Excalibur-Their Stylist Deserves a Raise.
KINGDOM have been looking like royalty in every performance and their stylists should be getting tons of praise. The unique qualities of each look has really left a great impression. I decided to have some fun and rank which outfits I liked best. To be clear, I like all of these outfits for different reasons but here is my favorites countdown.
7. Tan Princes, worn on: 210220 & 210223
I think these outfits are cool and definitely give an army-warrior vibe but they also make me think a little bit about a UPS delivery driver. I tend to always think about outfits in this color in that context, but I do love the black underneath and the black boots and costume piece really stand out against this light color. I think these looked really nice on stage as well. The 210220 performance is actually my favorite live stage for Excalibur. The camera work was done really well to see the dance and their vocals were standout in this performance.

6. All Black King Suits, worn on: 210225
Overall, I really like these outfits. They look like a cross between princes and Hollywood stars. The reason I have them farther down on the list is when on stage these outfits didn’t stand out well from the back-up dancers. It made some of their dramatic choreography moves be less visually impactful. Regardless though, they look amazing in these.

5. Velvet Royalty, worn on: 210228
These outfits are really fun. I think personally I just see velvet as a little cheesy which is why it is on the bottom half of the list, but I still really think these look great. They have a lot of creativity in them and they stood out amazingly on stage. They really made the members look like kings.

4. Modern Knights in Shining Armor, worn on: 210218
The debut stage outfits! I have to give so much credit to the creativity in these outfits as well as the effort. These are so unique and they were a really cool take on “armor”. They members really look memorial and badass in these. I will forever remember seeing them on stage of the first time in these fits. A moment in history.

3. Pure Kings from Around the world, worn on: 210221 & 210225 on Simply K-pop episode 456
These outfits just oozed royalty and in so many different style from around the world. These were definitely the outfits that showed each individual king the best. I loved how they looked uniform but also unique. Not to mention, I just think KINGDOM glows in the color white. I will say it was also impressive how well they danced in such long pieces.

2. Monochromatic Suit Slaying, worn on: 210226
As stated with the last outfit, KINGDOM glows when wearing white. These outfits really showed off how handsome the members are and they standout really well against the backup dancers. I like the subtleties of this look overall. It wasn’t too anything but yet it collective was just gorgeous. Sometimes less is more and I feel that was the case with these outfits.

1. The Ultimate Kings of Style, worn on: 210219
These outfits are stunning. They are a work of craftsmanship as well. All the details, the color, the style: perfection. If you stop and stare at these outfits for long enough you will want to Venmo their stylist more money honestly. I love how well they fit the vibe of King Arthur lore as well. Considering this is Arthur’s chapter in KINGDOM’s concept. I couldn’t think of anyway to improve these and that is why they are my number one pick for KINGDOM’s stage outfits from the Excalibur promotions.
Honestly, I am so proud of the KINGDOM boys and the crew working behind them. It is easy to see how much effort and planning has gone into every detail of their career thus far.
